Water in the valley, footsteps on the trail
When the snow withdraws, the Rutor valley, its waterfalls and a network of hiking and cycling routes emerge. Ascent, surface and exposure matter far more than the distance suggested by a photograph.
Choose a destination that fits the group and keep time for pauses and the descent. The landscape does not need to be crossed at speed.
A different day, without collecting stops
Courmayeur, Skyway Monte Bianco and Pré-Saint-Didier add very different dimensions to a La Thuile stay. Each deserves its own day, with access and reservations checked directly with the operator.
Choose one focus and calculate the real transfers. A day trip's value lies in time spent there, not in the number of names added to an itinerary.
